Snowshoeing offers the possibility of getting to know another fascinating aspect of Etna: the snowy paths.
Our snowshoe hikes are not particularly demanding, to allow everyone to enjoy the experience of walking in the woods in winter.
Non-demanding routes to the side craters of Monti Sartorius, or routes inside the magnificent woods, to admire the monumental trees
Meeting point is a Chalet in a magnificent pine forest.
Snowshoes are tried on and adapted to your hiking boots.
Short briefing to explain its use and a few minutes available to “familiarise” with snowshoes.
Depending on the itinerary chosen, the departure can be from the adjacent wood or you can travel by car for a few minutes to reach the path.
The paths are all very suggestive and panoramic, with breathtaking scenery and interesting endemisms.
Upon request, we organize snowshoe hikes in the evening, to experience the very moving experience of the forest at night.
Duration: 2 and a half hours.
Difficulty: easy, suitable for everyone (not suitable for children under 10).
Recommended clothing: windbreaker, hiking boots, gloves and hat, sunglasses
Cost: €30 per person.
The cost includes: environmental guide, snowshoe and poles rental, headlamp for evening snowshoe hikes.
